+ All these are all updated modernized sculpts.

+ Universe Legends Brawn and Beachcomber.

+ Universe Robot Heroes Cheetor vs Tankor ala Beast Machines.

+ Optimus vs Megatron ala RID.

+ There will be another 25th revealed tomorrow that Archer said fans will be very happy about.

+ G1 counterfeit knockoffs - Hasbro is making a long statement. Basically they do not condone it and all that business stuff with a hint at legal issues. More on this later we're sure.

Q&A

+ MP Thundercracker is on their shortlist, they are looking to do as an exclusive in 09 for 25th anniversary - not confirmed but def looking at.

+ Not many off screen characters for animated. Oil Slick was a exception to the rule.

+ Attackix are pushed to the side for now.

+ Fans wants 6" Titanium Cliffjumper and Bumblebee but no plans right now.

+ Any chance of a Sari toy? They want to find a way to bring human characters to market, but its not in the cards right now.

+ Fan wants to see those Titaniums that were shown last year at BotCon as protos. They are looking to just use molds that have already been made but tools cost a lot of money. The Titanium line was popular with the collector market, but not beyond that. So its hard to justify making new tools. They recognize the characters are important.

+ No plans for a Voyager Soundwave for Classics - they just did the re-issue.

+ Alternators any plans? This fan wants a G1 RC. The response: Just cause you haven't seen it doesn't mean its not being worked on according to Hasbro. Alternators are still on the back burner for Hasbro.

+Still no plans for G1 Dinobot reissues.

+ We will see variation on the standard size of Robot Heroes in the future. Much like with larger scale figures in the Marvel Super Hero Squad line.

+ Might see some combiners worked into 25th Anniversary.

+ All the 25th anniversary they showed comes in as wave 3 of 4 of Universe so prob wont see at the end of Dec 08 or Jan 09.

+ 25th G1-Prime comes out in November, the rest basically end of this year early next.

+ The GM exclusive Aveo was created as a promotional give-away in Europe for GM and was never meant to be sold. It was supposed to be a give-away and they created that toy for that specific purpose. They chose that type of car cause its more popular in Europe. They didnt have a toy already made that they could give GM to be given away so GM paid to have that one made.

+ Universe will expand and contract as other things happen. So basically in movie years, the movie stuff will have priority, but Universe wont go away.

+ No plans for G.I.Joe / Transformers crossover toys right now. Archer jokingly suggests to just put your G.I.Joe and Transformer toys on the same shelf right now.

+ Wheeljack, Sunstorm or Trailbreaker will they be made? Hasbro said Possibly. Headmasters are on the list along with those 3.

+ There are no plans in the next year or two for G1 DVDs far as they know.

+ Megatron has risen many times according to Archer in regards to weather he will be in TF2.

+ Archer says he had to buy the USA MP Starscream on Ebay because he couldn't find it at the store.

+ Acid Storm, is he a generic Seeker. Archer came up with the idea. Was supposed to be rainmaker or acid rainmaker, but couldn't get the name so it ended up as Acid Storm.

+ Music Label TFs are for Takara and Hasbro doesn't really do that format.

+ They respect each other exclusives. So if Takara re-released any seekers that were exclusive here, they would be different in some way so they weren't exact.

+ Might see a movie Despensor eventually - the Mountain dew guy.

+ Hasbro took a poll with raise of hands for accessory packs. About half the room raised their hand.

+ Even Hasbro was surprised at just how successful the move was.

+ There are so many movie repaints because they had not planned for the demand on Movie stuff to last so long.

+ For TF 2 they will be better prepared. There will be more new molds and less repaints as they get into Spring period.

+ Any chance for a larger Bonecrusher? He's one they would like to do in a better way if he is in the sequel.

+ Any character in TF1 that is in TF2, they will try to improve the toy on, not just re-release the TF1 versions.

+ Animated Prime trailer? Since he has had several different trailers so they are trying to figure out the best way to do that.

+ No plans for Hasbro re-issue of all of Soundwaves cassettes.

+ Any chance to re-visit Go-Bots molds? Hasbro owns the names and owns the name of Go-Bots, but not the Bandai molds. So not much chance of is paying homage to the original Go-Bots.

+ Why no sludge and snarl in animated? They hope to maybe do them down the road. Snarl is coming.

+ They are talking about doing TF Q&A with fan sites like they do now with Star Wars and other lines.

+ Alternators are not dead, just sleeping.

Panel over. Stay Tuned for new toys images coming in the next hour.

PRESENTATION
+ Joe Does exclusives. Thundercraker, Skywarp have been planned as toys for awhile for animated.

+ CN has day colors and night colors for their animation and they try and work that in to the toy as best as possible.

+ At one point Blitzwing was going to be more military.

+ Originally TF Animated was going to be called TF Hero because they wanted to be more Super Hero.

+ The Archer was put in by CN as an inside joke. Originally he was gonna be called Anger the Archer. : Aaron Archer asked that he have the left hand be more robotic but he had no control of the overall look and voice - the joke was to be based on Aaron Archer.

+ DLX Stryker. Takara couldn't make out the head from the image provided by the studio. Archer drew it 5 mins before catching a plane out Tokyo and thats how his head for the toy was created.

+ Salvage' inspiration is from the Sanford & Son truck.

+ Convertible Cadillac XLR was gonna be Megatron for Alternators but never came out.

+ Skyfire Space Shuttle was based on the Shuttle from Michael Bays Armageddon.

+ Storm Cloud is a redeco Powerglide. MM-89 on him stands for Micro Master 89, the year he is made.

+ Both Powerglide and and Storm Cloud will have it so you can open his chest and see a heart. It is really for Powerglide, Storm Cloud has it cause it was molded in.

+ Animated Perceptor was just designed and is coming.

+ Universe Deluxe Acid Storm was originally named Rainmaker then Acid Rain and then Acid Storm.

+ 25th Anniversary Hot Shot deluxe class. He now has a rear window! This is how they will celebrate mini-cons cause he comes with one. No Bazooka weapon for Hot Shot. They got Dave Willis (ShortPacked) to stand up, he is a BIG Hot Shot fan. (Ed Note: Yes, this is the surprise 25th figure. @_@)

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
+ No plans for a Universe 6 Shot right now.

+ Takara does design and sculpting and Hasbro comes up with the ideas on Alternators.

+ Fracture is Crasher from the Go-Bots and a female. The Wal-Mart Mirage repaint. She creates tremors with her feet. They tried to call her Crasher and then Catalyst but those names didn't clear.

+ Takara and Hasbro each do their own color guides for toys.

+ No combiners in the Universe line right now.

+ No Ultra Magnus for the Universe line right now.

+ GM Alternator Hummer, they had talked to GM extensively about that but for many different reasons it never happened. It could be something in the future.

+ According to Archer, Hot Shot was a great opportunity to re-do a guy who needed to be redone. It wont be out till around this time next year.

+ We will probably see a Ratchet repaint of Iron Hide Universe.

+ Its not confirmed what Perceptor transforms into, but he does have the microscope bazooka shoulder cannon. They don't mass shift. Possibly, he'll still transform into a microscope or maybe a telescope.

+ Cosmos Universe is in the works and they are trying to get him done. They want to have something to show for next year.

+ When asked about MP Grimlock, Hasbro says he's on their short list. If Takara do it first, he will prob make his way here. Probably be an exclusive, if he was done.

+ Galvatron was so small because the designer was told that they already had so many tanks in the larger scale so they had to do the smaller version.

News from BotCon: New Wal-Mart Exclusive Movie Deluxe Figures

Cincinnati, Ohio – This September, TRANSFORMERS Movie excitement continues with three new Movie Deluxe figures available only at Wal-Mart. Check out these images of DECEPTICON FRACTURE, BREAKAWAY, and CRANKCASE, as revealed this past Saturday at the Hasbro panel at BotCon.

DECEPTICON FRACTURE
Dedicated to MEGATRON and the DECEPTICON cause, DECEPTICON FRACTURE is a dangerous enemy. She is totally fearless, and probably a little bit crazy, as she dives directly into any battle, regardless of the odds. Although she carries a powerful negative energy blaster, she prefers to use the seismic energy dischargers on her feet to smash the surrounding earth to pieces. Any battlefield on which she walks shudders with the force of her steps.

DECEPTICON FRACTURE was inspired by the female Gobot Crasher, but the name was changed to DECEPTICON FRACTURE when Crasher was unavailable for use. This deco scheme was one of several ideas for the Classic Series MIRAGE mold, and emerged as the most popular with the team. Her vehicle mode deco is based on a real Russian F1 race car color scheme.

BREAKAWAY
Escape-artist extraordinaire BREAKAWAY has never been held in captivity for more than a few hours. Even then, most of the times he's been captured have only been because he let it happen, so he could get inside a DECEPTICON base and blow it up. Every one of his joints is double, and secret compartments cover his body, hiding dozens of tools for use in escaping from any cell. He's as slippery as a Neutronian grease eel, and clever as a turbofox. DECEPTICON bounty hunters across the galaxy have an almost supernatural regard for his skill.

BREAKAWAY is based on the G1 Powermaster AUTOBOT escape artist Getaway. The name Getaway was unavailable, so the similar sounding Breakaway (which was already registered by Hasbro) was used instead.

CRANKCASE
CRANKCASE doesn't really care about MEGATRON; he just joined the DECEPTICONS because he was in a bad mood, and it's pretty much lasted. As far as he's concerned, everything is pointless and stupid. He sees no reason why anyone else should be enjoying things when he's so miserable. That's why he spends his time grumpily ruining things for AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS alike. He's not much of a warrior, so he specializes in just being inconvenient. His blaster arm causes metal to rust instantly.

CRANKCASE is based on the G1 Decepticon Triggercon of the same name. His flip out weaponry is extremely similar to the original toy, so using the TRANSFORMERS: CYBERTRON RED ALERT mold worked well. In his original expanded biography, CRANKCASE was once a janitor for fuel spills, so the design team decided to make his vehicle mode a car for a hazardous materials team.

Los acabados son de lo peor, aun sabiendo que son prototipos deberían tener aun mayor cuidado en los acabados... obviamente asi vimos a proul y suns, con acabados pésimos, menos mal  los japoneses nos echaran una mano...
